How you should proceed to terminate your subscription with us depends on how you started the subscription.
Subscription was started from the website
If you started your subscription through our website you can also cancel your subscription through our website.
- Log into your account page.
- Click on Manage next to your subscription.
- Scroll down and click on Cancel subscription.
- Confirm the cancellation.
When you've cancelled your subscription you will see confirmation of this on the website. You'll also receive an email which confirms the cancellation to the email address your Storytel account is registered with. We recommend that you save this confirmation.
Subscription was started from the app (Google/Apple)
When you start your an in-app subscription directly in the app, either through Google or Apple, you also need to cancel your subscription through them by following the steps below.
Apple
1. Go to Settings in your phone.
2. Click on your name.
3. Click on Subscriptions.
4. Choose the subscription that you want to manage.
5. Select Cancel Subscription to terminate your subscription.
If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, then the subscription is already canceled and won't renew.
1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play app.
2. At the top right, click on the profile icon.
3. Go to Payments & subscriptions -> Subscriptions.
4. Select the subscription you want to cancel.
5. Choose Cancel subscription.
6. Follow the instructions.
Keep in mind: Your subscription does not end automatically if you delete the app or do not use the service.
Not sure how the subscription was started?
If you're not sure how you started your subscription, you can log into your account page on our website and look under Payments.
If you see a specific payment method (for example card) and you see the option to update your payment, your subscription was started from our website and can be administered from your account page on the website.
If you see Apple_IAS, your subscription was started from the app and is an in-app subscription administered by Apple.
If you see Google_IAS, your subscription was started from the app and is an in-app subscription administered by Google.

Start your subscription again
Should you wish to continue with Storytel, you can log in to your Storytel account and start your subscription again. Your bookshelf and your reading and listening history will be saved on your account.
