How you should proceed to manage your subscription with us depends on how you started your subscription.

Subscription was started from website
- If you started your subscription through our website, you also find the option to manage your subscription through our website.

<li><a href="https://www.storytel.com/id/login">Log into your account page.</a>
<li>Click on <b>Manage</b> next to your subscription plan.
<li>Click <b>Change</b> on the subscription plan you want to change to.
<li>You will see more information about what your specific change means for you before any change is made.
<li>To confirm the change, click on <b>Confirm</b>.

Subscription was started from the app (Google/Apple)
- When you start your an in-app subscription directly in the app, either through Google or Apple, you also find the option to manage your subscription from the app.

<li>Log into the Storytel app.
<li>Go to <b>Profile</b> > <b>Settings</b> > <b>Subscription</b>.
<li>Click on <b>Manage subscription</b> > <b>Change your subscription plan</b><li>Choose the subscription you want to change to and follow the instructions.

Downgrading or upgrading your subscription plan
If the change of subscription is an upgrade or downgrade depends not only on cost of subscription but also what's included with the subscription plan.

<b>Downgrade</b>

You remain with your current plan until your current subscription period has ended. At the end of your current subscription period, your subscription will automatically change and be renewed for the new subscription plan.

<b>Upgrade</b>
<br><br>
Your new subscription plan starts and you get charged immediately when you confirm the change of subscription plan. Details of what will happen with your current subscription when you upgrade to the new subscription is presented to you before you're asked to confirm the change.

Not sure how your subscription was started?

If your subscription was started from our website, you will see the option to administer your payment and subscription from your account page.

If you see "Apple_IAS", your subscription was started from the app and is administered by Apple.

If you see "Google_IAS", your subscription was started from the app and is administered by Google.

Subscription plan not available?

When you start a subscription through our website, you may get access to more subscription plans. If you have an in-app subscription, you need to administer your subscription in the app.

Payment method not accepted?

Make sure that your payment method is valid, is approved for (recurring) internet purchases and has enough funds. If you are unable to identify the issue, we recommend that you contact your bank.

When the issue has been resolved, you can try again to update your payment method. You can also try a different payment method.
