If you are more than one person in the household that would like to listen or read to Storytel from your own device, at the same time, our subscription plan Storytel Family would be the most suitable for you.
You each log in to your own account, with your own unique email address, and will have your own private bookshelf. However, the subscription is administered and paid for by one person.
You can only follow the steps further down in the article after you have started a Family subscription.

Send an invite
- You can invite family members to join your Family subscription from our website. To send an invite, please follow the steps below:

<li><a href="https://private.storytel.com/">Log in to your account page on our website.</a>
<li>Click on <b>Manage family members</b>.
<li>Click on <b>Add user</b>.
<li>Copy the invitation link.
<li>Share the invitation link however you want with the person you want to invite to join your Family subscription.
<br><br>
Please note that you won't see the link anywhere again after you copied it and closed the window. If you didn't copy it correctly or don't have it saved, you can just click on <b>Add user</b> again to get a new invitation link to share.

Redeem invitation
- After receiving and clicking on the invitation link, you will see the options to log into your existing Storytel account or create a new account. If you choose to log into your existing account, you will keep your bookshelf and listening history.

Choose the option that's suitable for you and proceed to join the Family plan.
<br><br>
f you don't see these alternatives, please make sure you're not logged into the wrong account on the website. If you're logged into the wrong account, please log out before clicking on the invitation link again.

Please note that you will not be asked to enter any payment details when redeeming an invite to join a Family plan.

If you choose to log into an existing account and you have a subscription that was started through our website, your subscription will be cancelled after you accept the invite.

It's not possible to redeem the invite
- Please make sure that you're not logged into the wrong Storytel account on our website. If you are, please log out and try again.
<br><br>
The invitation link expires after three days from when it was created. If more than three days have passed, the person that sent the invite can create a new invitation link to share.
<br><br>
If you already have a subscription with us it's only possible to immediately join the Family subscription if your subscription was started from our website (not through a partner or from the app).
<br><br>
If your subscription wasn't started from the website, you need to first cancel your current subscription and wait until your entire subscription period has ended before you can join the Family subscription.<a href="https://support.storytel.com/hc/th/articles/360010486719">How to cancel your subscription.</a>
<br><br>
Please note that all members must be in the same country to share a family subscription. If it is not possible to accept the invitation, this may be an underlying reason.

It's not possible to listen at the same time
- If you're not able to listen at the same time someone might not have accepted the invite, or you might be logged into the same account in the app.

</a> Click on <b>Manage family members</b>. Here you can see who you have invited to your Family subscription and if they've managed to accept the invite.

If everything looks like it should, make sure that you're all logged in to your own Storytel account with your own unique email address in the app You can see this in the app under <b>Profile</b> > <b>Settings</b> > <b>Account</b>.

If someone isn't logged in to their own account, they can log out and in again to the app.

Remove a user from your Family subscription
- You can manage users on your Family subscription from our website. Please follow the steps below:

<li>Click on <b>Manage family members</b>.
<li>Choose the user you want to remove from your subscription by clicking <b>Remove</b>. The person registered with the account you've removed will receive an email informing them that they've been removed from the subscription plan.

Leave a Family subscription
- If you have been invited as a guest to a Family subscription but wish to leave the subscription, please follow the steps below:

<li>Click on <b>Subscription</b>. Click again on <b>Manage</b>.
<li>Click <b>Cancel subscription</b> if you only wish to leave the subscription. If you would like to start your own subscription, you can instead choose <b>Change subscription</b> and follow the steps.
