A gift card from Storytel gives you, your friends, or your family access to our entire range of audiobooks and e-books.
Good to know about our gift cards
- Gift cards can only be purchased for the Storytel Unlimited subscription plan.
- If the Storytel account where the gift card is to be redeemed already has a subscription, this may need to be canceled before the gift card can be redeemed.
- Gift cards can be purchased for a period of 1, 3, 6, or 12 months.
- Gift cards purchased through our website are valid for redemption for up to 2 years from the date of purchase.
How to purchase a gift card
To purchase a gift card, you need to log in or create an account with Storytel. The account/email address you use when purchasing the gift card has no bearing on which account/email address the gift card can later be redeemed on.
Here's how to purchase a gift card:
- Follow the link to purchase a gift card on our website.
- Select the subscription period you want to purchase for the gift card.
- If you already have a Storytel account, click on the button Already have an account? Log in.
- If you are new to Storytel, fill in your details to create an account.
- Enter your payment details.
- Once you have completed your purchase, an email with a gift card code will be sent to the email address you registered with your account.
- Share the gift card code with the person you want to use it. The recipient can then redeem it on the account where it is to be used.
You can view information about your gift card purchase by logging in to our website with the account you used to purchase the gift card and going to My account > Billing history.

How to redeem your gift card
If you have received a gift card code, you can redeem it on our website. Here's how to redeem a gift card:
- Follow the link to redeem your gift card on our website.
- If you already have a Storytel account, click on the button Log in to an existing account. If you are new to Storytel, click on Create account instead.
- Once you have logged in or created an account, you will be asked to enter and redeem your gift card code.
- A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you registered with your account.
If you are having trouble redeeming your gift card, it may be because you have an active subscription on your Storytel account that is not compatible with the gift card, for example if you have a subscription other than Unlimited. Follow the link to read more about how to cancel your subscription.
