Which payment methods are available depends on how you choose to start your subscription with us.
Starting your subscription from the website
Available payment methods when starting a subscription is card payment, and supported cards for example Visa and Mastercard. You will see available payment methods after you've created a Storytel account and before you proceed to start your subscription.
When starting your subscription through our website, you can later change or update your payment method on our website from your account page.
When you have a monthly subscription with us, you are charged every 30 days when your subscription is renewed. The exact date of the month you are charged depends on when you first started your subscription with us. Since the subscription renews every 30 days, the payment date may also change depending on the number of days in the month.
Starting your subscription from the app (Google)
If you start your subscription directly in the app, your subscription and payment will be administered Google (depending on your device).
You will see which payment methods are available before starting your subscription. The payment options available to you when you start an in-app payment depends on which payments Google offer to you.
When starting your subscription through the app, you can later change or update your payment method either through your Google Play account.
My payment method wasn't accepted
Make sure that your payment method is valid, is approved for (recurring) internet purchases and has enough funds. If you are unable to identify the issue, we recommend that you contact your bank.
You can also make sure that you have a stable internet connection when trying to start your subscription.
When the issue has been resolved, you can try again to start your subscription. You can also try a different payment method.
